Paul Kenney is a British Actor. Paul studied Drama at the Manchester Metropolitan University and graduated in 2009. Before graduating, he auditioned at the successful Manchester School of Acting to study Screen Acting with ITV acting coach Mark Hudson, where he continued to build his acting technique. Paul has since appeared in a number of short films and theatre productions. Most notably, he appeared as hapless and hair brained schemer ’Massive’ in a TV pilot called ‘Buzz Dish’, directed by Dave Spikey (of ‘Phoenix Nights’), which premiered at the inaugural Cofilmic Comedy Film Festival, winning an Audience Vote Award.
In 2011, Paul founded the New Live Theatre Company to produce new writing in the Manchester region. For the company’s first production, he wrote, directed and co-produced ’Love Shy Neighbour’, and has since written and directed a number of stage plays (see company website for those details). Paul also runs the company’s annual Theatre Showcase in Manchester.
Still in the pipes: Paul filmed as ‘Jason Buchanan’ in a 15 part, school-based websoap called ‘Rylands‘. The Warrington based series is expected for online release in mid-2013.
